Kommy - Kombucha and Scoby samples

For this sustainability proyect, called Kommy, I worked with the bacteria called Scoby which is also used as a priobiotic fermented beverage, to make samples in order to later design a piece of sustainable fabric, inspired by Suzzane Lee. I experimented with different materials to dry the scoby, such as wood, plastic, wood thread, and leafs as well as combined scobys fermented with different types of teas, and colors.
This proyect explores a different perspective on fashion design and sustainability.
For the final piece, my collegue and I desined an accesory, belt and a set of earings.
